NOTE TO ADMINs: This may need to be moved to the Tech side. dntknw.gif

Re-calibrate your mouse!

You should actually do this every year, even more often if you spend a lot of
time on the computer.

This is recommended by Kim Komando (the computer guru) in
one of her recent emails.

I was shocked to see how well this works, and how far off mine was!

To re-calibrate your mouse, click and hold on the capital G below,
then drag it toward the small g.

If it doesn't work immediately, you might want to clean your mouse,
as the calibration is off.

Good lord!! You'll believe anything.

I'M SURE YOU WILL ALSO RECOMMEND THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS ONCE
YOU SEE HOW MUCH SMOOTHER AND BETTER THE MOUSE WORKS AFTER
BEING CALIBRATED! AMAZING

Perhaps you should have used a different color since I could see the words in white. tongue.gif

Depending on the forum skin you are using you may or may not see the text at first. Golden Wine skin works well at hiding it. The ones with darker background color make it very visible.

Hi Vijay! Like your picture. You've grown into quite a handsome young man. smile.gif

Hey...Vijay! How've you been? wink.gif

I assume you got your mouse calibrated, despite of the background-color problem? dntknw.gif

I was aware that many skins would not have a white background on posts (the one I use alternates between white and a light grey on every other post). But I was willing to take a chance since this is such a critical and over-looked maintenance task... Groaner.gif

I'm not sure about that! After all, there have been reports of the 'magic' leaking out when that mouse is used by too many people during the day...apparently Apple didn't do a good job of sealing the thing. You can't be too safe!

I see you've updated to the latest Snow Leopard! eek2.gif There are a few others here that have done that. Haven't heard much from them. I hoping it's not because the update fried their Macs! rofl.gif

Take care, don't be so busy you can't share your talents here! salute.gif

Yeah, I heard about that. I got the Apple Magic Glue to seal the leak. rofl.gif

Yep, I updated to the latest release of Snow Leopard. Haven't experienced any problems so far. I like the App Store. Will be making software purchases soon from it (Aperture and Pixelmator). Also will be getting the iPhone 5 and iPad 2 this year. smile.gif

Well done! Not many techs even know about that product! Groaner.gif

Well, I don't really need any of that, but it might be nice to get the iPad 2, if it really gets some upgrades...

As for the App Store, I'll probably wait to see what improvements come to Pages...nothing else appears to have any urgency to be bought by me. I haven't even move up to 10.6.6! dntknw.gif
