I know I asked this question before on TS but my memory isn't what it used to be. So thanks for your indulgence if you have answered this question before.
For some inexplicable reason, when I clicked on a URL link in a Eudora 6.2.4 e-mail, my browser, FireFox 3.5.5 opens but the web page does not appear. This suddenly happened to me today. When I run over the link's "header", I can for a few seconds see the actual URL underneath but it quickly disappears. I can copy the link's header say "Web Page 1" and paste it into FireFox. The complete URL appears and then when I select it, the web page appears. Does anyone have any idea as to how I can fix this/ I did redo all my Eudora settings and my FireFox settings but no joy! Don't know if this will change anything.
Choosing a default Web browser other than Safari 1. Open Safari (/Applications). 2. From the Safari menu, choose Preferences. 3. Click the General button. 4. Choose a different browser from the Default Web Browser pop-up menu. -------------------- Cheers, Tom

Tried your suggestion, Tom. I chose Safari as my default browser and then opened Eudora. and selected an e-mail with a link. Selected the link and Safari opened in the link's web page. Reset default browser to FireFox in Safari's prefs. Now could not get any link in Eudora to open FF at the appropriate web page. It did open FF, but now web page appeared even the home page.

Have you also told the OS that Eudora is your default email app? You set that in Mail, BTW. I don't really see what that's got to do with this particular problem, but...

Problem is solved! I finally rebooted and went into single user mode and there were problems that were repaired. Then, I ran DislkWarrior and this apparently applied the coup de grace sp?). Now all links in Eudora open their appropriate web page in FireFox.
