There's a new iPod update too.
For "all iPods and mini" (VT). I reckon Kelly's right, but I also reckon this may be part of the run-up to the (very, very) long-awaited launch of the ITMS in Europe. |

Hi Al, Which thread/post were you referring to? As with nearly all updates, I'm seeing posts with problems and posts where everything is great.

I did the iTunes update for my PEE-CEE and I really haven't noticed anything differant from the earlier version.
I am more interested in the visuals that it offers while the music is playing. Burning a CD on a PEE-CEE is great with iTunes and out does all the other programs that MS offers and what Sony Offers on the computers. iTunes/Apple rules... Noah |

I didn't update my iTunes, but, unfortunately, I did update my iPod (V.2) to 1.4, and immediately discovered that it no longer displays the addresses and notes, in the "contacts" (address book) entries, so I immediately went back to 1.3.1. Luckily, it's easy to do, but I had to set iTunes to exporting my Library to the iPod, again. I wish they'd tell us what the updates "undo" and let us decide whether or not we want to lose some options, in order to gain others. . .

Not sure what you mean Beacher... All my contacts addresses display just fine after the upgrade. I didn't have any notes on the iPod, but I do have my address book stored in the contacts. Everything seems to work fine.

Saw this at the Apple Discussion iTunes Forum. It's a well written help manual for iTunes 4.5 called "iTunes 4.5 for Mac First Aid Tips" by "F.J." F.J. provides a great deal of help at that forum.

Updated everything that was on the Update page except for the stuff I dont use, and the 4.5 works fine.
Should I be updating everything there even things that I dont use yet? I assume I should, as I will be using it all in the future. Jane |

I went ahead with the iTunes and QT update. No problems at all!
Mrious_be, what problems are you having with the "party playlist" or the "party shuffle"?? I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you want to know, but if you click on the "party shuffle" playlist, which for me is right under "library", a random playlist will come up. You can change it by clicking on the "refresh" button, which is the button that in a playlist usually is for burning a CD. (Top right of the iTunes window.) The pulldown menu at the bottom allows you to pick a source for the playlist. Sorry if I misunderstood your question about that. -------------------- -Rob

Well, i didn't really had a question where it was, but more what's the use of it. I do found all this things you say now, but i have absolutely no idea what the benefit for that function is It should play my most favorit songs, or something, but that's not really what it shows in the party list. I thought you would be manually able to shuffle the music of your upcoming songs, which might be, but the songs it's shows me in the partylist are NOT the upcoming songs and change when i click on refresh (that's logic offcourse). Weird function |
